Once No. 9 has cleared the surface, the skin is open — ready to receive, but also exposed. UV-R delivers a water-phase antioxidant layer that conditions and stabilizes the skin before peptides and lipids are applied. It is the environment the rest of the protocol requires.
Proprietary Fermentation
The broccoli sprout extract in UV-R is grown and fermented in-house at the OUMERE laboratory over a controlled one-month cycle. This process yields a concentration of sulforaphane — one of the most potent naturally occurring antioxidant activators — that cannot be achieved through standard commercial extraction.
Compound Synergy
Cordyceps, ginseng, green tea, mulberry, cilantro, and Polygonum aviculare work alongside the broccoli sprout ferment. Each was selected through research for its specific contribution to the antioxidant environment — not as a trend ingredient, but as a functional component of the system.
Formulation Principles

No Fragrance
Fragrance — both synthetic and from essential oils — is a biological disruptor. It triggers neurogenic inflammation in skin that has just been exfoliated. UV-R contains no scent of any kind, allowing it to function as a purely biological treatment.
No Hyaluronic Acid
Topical HA draws deep dermal moisture to the surface where it evaporates — creating the appearance of hydration while gradually depleting the skin's own reserves. UV-R hydrates through its fermented botanical complex, supporting moisture from within the tissue.
No Vitamin C
UV-R's antioxidant strategy is built on stable plant polyphenols — not on L-Ascorbic Acid, which oxidizes readily and can generate the very free radical stress it is meant to counter. The fermented botanical complex delivers sustained antioxidant support without instability.
In-House Fermentation
The fermentation process that produces UV-R's core extract takes one full month per cycle. It is conducted entirely within the OUMERE laboratory — not outsourced, not accelerated, not industrialized. This is what allows the sulforaphane concentration to reach levels that commercially sourced extracts cannot.
The Ritual
Apply in the morning immediately after No. 9, and again in the evening after Oil Dissolution Theory. Allow approximately 60 seconds for UV-R to absorb before applying Step III: The Advancement Concentrate.
If your skin is reactive or transitioning from harsh products, dilute UV-R with distilled water for the first 2 to 4 weeks and increase strength gradually. The results of UV-R are most profound after long-term, consistent use — the kind of change that becomes visible when others start asking what you've been doing differently.

About UV-R
OUMERE UV-R is a bio-fermented antioxidant treatment serum created by cellular biologist Wendy Ouriel in the OUMERE private laboratory in Palm Beach, Florida. It is Step II of the OUMERE Protocol — a complete anti-aging skincare system built on biological research, hand-compounded individually, and released in limited monthly editions.
UV-R's core ingredient is a proprietary broccoli sprout extract grown and fermented in-house at the OUMERE laboratory over a controlled one-month cycle — yielding a sulforaphane concentration unavailable through commercial extraction. The formula also includes cordyceps, ginseng, green tea, mulberry, cilantro, and Polygonum aviculare — each selected through cellular biology research for their antioxidant and skin-conditioning properties.

Allow UV-R™ to seep into the skin for at least one minute before applying additional products.
